Saturday Night Gore ~
Nope, it isn't a new horror flick... Dylan just got a lesson in equating misbehaviour = injury = pain. some weird mathematical equation? ... for him that is quite true... So, he went trodding along refusing to hold handsand 'wham' he tripped over himself and slammed onto the floor blood oozing from his lower lip and upper front teeth... A hard lesson it certainly was... and he cried and wailed and we gawked at the blood dripping out... goo dthing we had a change of clothes in the car... and to think it was to be a shopping trip to expo to get crocs and perhaps some toys for him and Sarah...
We did manage to go in to get the crocs afterall... somehow his pain would go away when there is shopping...
oh and yes I decided to blog again... but once in a while... i have shifted to facebook... find me there if you know how to...

Do I want to update my blog?
It has been a realy long time since I last updated... Has there been nothing of interest to blog about? Not really, it is just that, I haven't been able to find the time to really sit down and realate anything...
Read between the lines ~ not able to find the time.
Anyway, it does feel demorealising to have been misunderstand and misconstrued. Oh well, someday, somehow, it will dawn upon them. Perhaps by then it will be too late to regret, and perhaps I will not be around for them to admit they were wrong to not appreciate...
Before I forget, Congrats to the N, O and A level batches for their good results. Move on to the next step.

So I am being asked to update~
ok, i have been up to my neck with work... housework... I have practically become some sort of housemaid. But that's a long story and i shall not begin here... if i grouse some more, i might just turn into an 'old maid' [go figure that out in chinese]
still, 2009 has been quite a blessing... first there are my 19 kids, who somehow, turned out to be rather amusing and refreshing. at least they managed to take my mind off unnecessary wandering.

Dylan and Sarah...

Love in Any Language~
So i finally managed to change the background music for this blog... its been a long while i know... btw, this song has much sentimental value... that was way back in July 1997... (so the story goes - was in SKorea for a peace camp (not participating in any protest) was just an international youth camp somewhere near the DMZ (NKorea and SKorea) and so Singapore (which i was representing) had to put up an item, and me and the other rep decided on this song with sign language included... the 200+ youths there simply enjoyed it... very memorable...

Sarah is 1 day old~
She opened her eyes to look at me this morning... awww... so sweet... Sarah really tired me out (at least for the whole of yesterday) ... some Children's Day this has turned out to be... and I guess it is going to be the start of very expensive Children's Days for the years to come... (it is her birthday, so gifts would be expected, but Dylan would get jealous of all that since it is Children's Day, and so he would also need additional gifts...) worrisome but very welcome problem to work out...

Happy Children's Day!
Guess it only applies to those who are legally a child, and those who can't seem to grow up...
HOPE - The Musical... really 'HOPE' you all enjoyed it... really spent hours preparaing for it... nope I wasn't acting~was never good at it to begin with... but being a DJ... well that is a totally different thing... so i should be saying~hope you enjoyed the music mixing... Went Santa Clausing around the school, 'HOPE' I didn't leave anyone out... Was trying hard to recall who didn't get the gifts... So if you think that you belong on the list and was kept waiting, look for me...

Sarah is really on the way... i have packed my overnight bag and everything else needed for a 2 night 'camp-out' at KK... so she doesn't want to be a September baby... Maybe just maybe... finally decided on chi name for Sarah... Jia Qi... everyone seems adamant on Sarah Xie Jia Qi... considering that the choice was between~JiaQi, JiaWen, JiaMin, JiaYi... i guess Jia Qi would be the better sounding of the lot... at least Qi has a written character which means Princess... Sarah also means Princess...

Alive and counting down...
No I am not counting down to PSLE... Sarah, is going to arrive soon... The waiting is enough to pump up and drain the adrenaline all at the same time... And it is all this adrenaline rush and preparation that means - no time to update blog. So in reply to my dearest neighbour... I am busy alright? Now, what is seriously 'eye-sore'-ing about pink? thought Pink was and is a girls' favourtie colour, well sort of?
I do not recall being so possessive and jealous when my kid brother was about to be born... but then, that was like eons ago... perhaps my memory is failing me... my dear Dylan is so so possessive right now... he seems to know that sarah is coming to share his attention... then again, he already knows that... been telling him that daily, and he likes the thought of having a 'meimei'
one more week and we shall know roughly when sarah is going to be in my arms...
On another note, HL has been going onabout this 'xxxth floor' thing ever since my neighbour went sick for a couple of days... starting to wonder if HL and S actually came to the xxxth floor and stared at my door or plants... ewe, loitering outside others' house is pretty dangerous ok?

Pretty in Pink ~
Seeing pink these days... pink dresses... pink shoes... pink furniture... pink toys... pink tees... pink everything... want to stop there before i start seeing pink cars... yucks...
Sarah is getting pretty active... turning and kicking... punching and the last i saw... she was waving and smiling? October.... that is very soon... would be a very nice children's day ....
Decided on Sarah with a 'h'... sarah daphne chia (jiayi)... but still a long way off... all the same, will stick to this name until closer to the date...
Dylan is getting perkier each day... it is almost like he knows daddy and mummy will be sharing the attention with another sibling all too soon. You should just hear the way he calls out endearingly for me... papa... (pa3 pa2...a3) [try that in hanyu pinyin] cant figure how to attach the sound here... else you could all hear it yourself...
N Day just passed... the most interesting N Day ever... I actually didn't sit in front of the TV to catch the telecast... why would I need to when I have been standing at different parts of the marina bay area watching the flypast and fireworks with my dearest dylan... he simply loves the fireworks... and the planes.... he is now able to call them 'airplane'... my boy has the hots for trains/buses/planes/escalators/elevators and trolleys. weird combination... but that makes him unique...

So what happened in June?
and so we packed our bags and went off to Bangkok for a short break with 36 kids in tow... International Friendship does last a longtime... the notion of international friendship is still pretty much like in the past... after 2 years, these 6 took time off classes to chaperone and guide our kids about the campus... providing the necessary translation for a language pleasing to the ears, but totally lost to the mind...
people do grow taller... they (the 6) have suddenly grown in height over two years... even if we were to stand upright, they would still hover over us slightly...

ouch 2~
in the tradition of sequels... here is one...
many swabs and 4 panadols later... ok, so the pain has subsided somewhat... still, it feels awfully weird, especially when your tongue goes wriggling in that direction only to feel soft tissue... eeks! I wish next friday would come sooner... at least, the dentist could begin patching up the raw area. should have snapped a shot or two of the tooth and perhaps posted here... but then, i would have to place this blog under PG rating for utterly grotesque content.
was thinking of a third ouch to make it a trilogy, but shall not... instead i will do the ouch 3 here within ouch 2... lost in translation? it's perfectly alright...
Ouch 3 goes like this... today is the last day of my student life... well, it was really enjoyable... assignments aside, the most important learning points were that of networking with new found friendships, and the simple joys in life. We have decided to throng orchard road today to celebrate the end of our course... on a weekday? yupz! weekday... and the next weekday will be a normal workday... sigh... it is back to reality again... or should there be rejoicing.

OUCH!
tooth extractions really hurt... not the process... it is after that...
4 injections later... there was a huge tug of war between the dentist's pliers and my jaw... 15 seconds later the dentist won. didn't feel anything.. as in no pain. rinsed my mouth, looked up at the palette and there lying in a pool of blood was this 2cm tooth. goodness me! then the realisation of pain sunk in... or rather... the realisation that there would be pain coming once the effects of the injections wear off...
changing the silly swabs every 15 minutes... all soaked in blood... when is it going to stop... been like this since 2 hours ago... ;(
aarghhh... i want to faint...

How to keep blog alive
zong just went commenting that my blog ain't alive... but hey, as long as portion of it is moving - it has life! so what if it is just the tag box... I mean we can be mere vegetable on bed - half in coma, and we are still considered alive albeit without motion.
anyway, it was a super duper great vacation... as some of you were aware - i was enjoying pre-olympics in Beijing... the whole city has changed so much since my last visit in 2006. Shall not comment too much about the touristy sites... else I would sound like out of a travel brochure...
the shopping there was simply fantastic! just so many olympic related souvenir shops around... walk down the main shopping area, and there would be 5 shops lining the street.
ok so here are the 5 mascots... Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, Nini.
Basically, they form the phrase Beijing huan ying ni (Beijing Welcomes you)
Now that is what i call creativity!

Monday~
here goes... we need to put up the posters in the lab 1 and 3... no more painting (for now)... timing will be shorter ... 7.30 to 10am... gotta go by then... (gonna spend time with my darling dylan... (: )
which means you all get to go home by 10am... and the next time will be on wednesday morning up till abt 10am ... cos you will all be getting results then...
the next session after that... hmm... another monday...
as we ae really running short of time... please please please... it will be really work work work... k?

End of Day~
Really tired out these few days... been non-stop work since we broke for hols...
Thanks to the hard work of these people, 5 New rooms are ready for 2008... can never thank you peeps enough... Nurin,Agnes,KiaYuen,KiaInn,Gaines,Reuben,Daron,KangSheng,Ruby,Cynthia,Zoe.
be it a day or 2, even 3 or 4 days... each moment you put in to get the whole work of art together, each laughter, each joke, each piece of pizza, each burger, each packet of food, each floor climbed, each chair stacked, each strand of hair coated with colour, each misplaced lego brick, even each cup of drink... such are the memories of 2007... py_Infocomm Pioneers...
I will look back on this past week with vey fond memories... you folks are welcome back anytime... you know how to contact Mr S and myself...

Home Decor~
decor of sorts... but why call it home? 'cos it is where we spend most of the time awake anyway... quite like a second home isn't it? back~
its been 2 months... yes, I know it's been a while... why? I just am happy reading posts rather than penning them.
So much has transpired during this period. many ups and an equal number of downs too.
to the new readers of my blog... this space is for keeping my ex-pupils updated with life about me, myself and I. If you had just stumbled upon this space, do not expect a whole grapevine of juicy news or incessant gossips.
My little one has started running about ... and i mean really running about... he dashes bout so quickly that a momentary lapse of attention would see him running into a wall or glass door or even pulling stuff off the table... oh did i mention that he loves to climb? favorite action : pointing, favorite sound : ernh (do not ask me how to pronounce) favorite past-time : going to the playground, favorite toy : empty cartons from his toys... That is just a short list of his fav's.
Brought him on a train ride last night. He so simply adores the lights from the windows and the rocking of the train... It makes him feel drowsy and of course sends him to deep slumberland. ~ amazing that no one gets up to offer their seat... such graciousness... but at least 1 nice old lady did beckon to me... but that was on the bus already, and it was a mere 2 bus-stop journey from sun plaza.

another 3 days away from school... but hey this time it is with the kids... at least most of them... hope they will enjoy the camping trip.

Yes! we did it again... came in tops in the first aid competition... BEST IN PRACTICAL n CHAMPIONS...

And yes, I am back. Actually there is nothing to be 'back' about. I never left anyway. Yesssss, I know I have been away for like a very long time... but really, i am still around the tag board okay?
My boy has started to take a couple of first steps but then it is only 3 at most before he gives up and sits down. well, it is better than nothing... he just refuses to take the extra steps... its as if he knows that should he walk, no one will carry him anymore... but then, i will still carry him, he is still such a darling to carry about... why wouldnt i carry him?
It is the time of the year for NAtional Day Celebrations... and of course the whole team of flag bearers are in action again... seems so weird that i am doing the whole thing again, training, screaming? redrilling them... but the them seems to look different each year... different kids... but i must say that the commander this year has a good strong voice, and is not afraid of screaming her lungs out... good job girl... i am impressed...

BAck after a long time...
and so i am back after a long break... nope, i didn't go anywhere... just got busy with other things and didn't feel like posting... was always here reading and tagging... so please do not say that this blog is dying...
and so had the bunch of them over on good friday... not for prayer session... they wanted to see dylan, so 'fine' i said. guess what? dylan didn't want anyone else to carry already... it is all because of his growing up pangs... at this age, he has started to identify people and no one is going to kidnap him that easily. haha...
patience, some patience please... a few months more and just about anyone can carry him... wait till then ok?...
and so i am back after a long break... nope, i didn't go anywhere... just got busy with other things and didn't feel like posting... was always here reading and tagging... so please do not say that this blog is dying...
and so had the bunch of them over on good friday... not for prayer session... they wanted to see dylan, so 'fine' i said. guess what? dylan didn't want anyone else to carry already... it is all because of his growing up pangs... at this age, he has started to identify people and no one is going to kidnap him that easily. haha...
patience, some patience please... a few months more and just about anyone can carry him... wait till then ok?...

Holiday!?!... what Holiday?

Been a very busy and hectic week... infocomm club after camp... phew~ and there goes my entire holidays... gone! just like that...
really a tiring and trying experience teaching them to use frontpage... and then another whole deal grasping with webcasting... and i haven't even done podcasting / voice recording yet...

Another long day ~
first my back hurts... hey peeps it really hurts... and all i did was to end over to pick up something from the boot... it wasn't much really... so that shouldn't have caused much pain... anyway... it did and so, i have to live with the pain... walking is a pain... sitting is also a pain... aaarghhh....
and now cos of the posture to avoid the pain... the knees are protesting as well... gimme a break!
rabbit - there was this rabbit hopping all over the place, and my kids saw fit to rush out and snare it... whatever for? now I got to figure out what to do with it... isn't that more of a headache? but then, managed to hand it over to someone else... phew~
dreaming kids - and so each day is filled with dreamy kids... hey wake up will ya! dun feel like repeating myself so many times... i know how it sounds to some of you... "there he goes again... on and on and on" but please.... not by choice ok? just that there is a need to get the message across to those who need to hear the info...
hey 'so-called daughters' so u have all stopped appearing eh? nvm, just better concentrate on your school work as well....
wtad's birthday... happy birthday wtad.... naw, not going to sing it here... not going to crack everyone's eardrums... hahaha
Dylan - yeah! he started to crawl forward... pretty fast too... but he is still as grouchy as ever... sigh, that's my boy...

After some time~
It's been quite a while... so much things happening...
lets start with the fever thing... try going at 38.5 to 39.5/6 ... I thought I was going to be headed for a meltdown... 4 days of fever, 3 days away from school... and 1 whole bunch of really naughty yet adorable kids... did they miss me? I seriously do not think so... but then I stand corrected... or so I imagine...
thinking about them makes me boil somewhat... do not understand why... it just makes me boil...

Quiet getaway for a week~
so it was cool to be away from everyone for a while... gain some sanity... have some personal free space...
meet my lil' one who has a sudden passion to penguin talk... or is it penguin steak that he wants to have? ...
he wants out and he wants out real bad now... sigh too much hyped-up activities for the few days... now all he wants is to see the insides of shopping malls...

oh well, that ends a not so happy week... going to be away for a period of time... did i say i didnt appreciate what u all have done? didnt say that ok... but then every one has their own interpretation...
my boy has started to flip and flip and flip... aint that cool?... and he watches cartoons... hahah.. .

Thanks and Silence ... ... ...
kids will be kids... do work? naw... play?... definitely yes!
but then, to be be fair... some work (ok i hear voices of dissent... ) quite a fair bit of work... (sounds better?) was done today... at least the room looks much ready to be used... another day of work tml...
some bad news today... :<
shan't blog abt it here... but just to mention that life is short... just treasure it as it comes... day by day... one never knows what will happen the next morning or the next night... surely anything will happen when it chooses to happen... hope you feeling alright... what can i help with? how can i help?

day 2~
very busy day indeed... went for the sports day... kindergarten having swimming carnival, primary having field games... and secondary having cheers and basketbal etc... very very hot day... scorching heat... saw some of the girls who came to the p5 camp... will meet with them tml again...
primary attire very interesting.. the girls are easily identified by the colour of the hair ribbon... all have to tie two pleats p1 blue, p2 green, etc... and get this.. their house colours are blue, yellow, orange, green and pink! (pink!) ewe...
anyone wants to their hair like this? and this is the uniform attire... perhaps we should do that at py yah?... haha...
this is their normal hairdo even on school days...
Oh how i miss my dylan and mummy... (boy if your are reading this) daddy misses you lots... will buy lots of pressie for you when daddy returns... muackz...

arrived in Bangkok~
after a long... actually not so long flight... we finally touched down in bangkok... and so we went to the hotel... some 88 storeys in all at this hotel... BAiyoke SKy, they call it... now on the 23rd floor... and if you think this is high... I got to take the express elevator up to the 77th floor to have breakfast tomorrow... and then take the elevator down to 18 again( 18 is the lobby of the hotel) then we have to take another elevator to the 23rd floor to our room...
tomorrow is going to be a longggggg day... breakfast at 7am and then off to Rajinibon school at 8am... then after viewing the sports day... it is off to lunch and then visits to the thai redx in the afternoon and then hopefully some shopping...
will update again tml nite... yawn...

And so it begins~
sigh now that psle is over... these people are starting to 'bug' me... so they decided to vc me at night and literally let their hair down... well peeps... just glad to see that everyone is finally able to enjoy themselves somewhat... guess you all deserve the grades you have... hope a great life ahead... (and next time... vc me in the day please... my baby is more cooperative in the daytime... )
and why cant i use this background music huh? the mood and ambience matches the blog and its entries... thats more important... if the music is too 'loud' then it just spoils the reading ambience...

The day of reckoning~
Well, what more can I say? there are the happy ones, the not so satisfied ones, and the totally emotionless ones...
But most of all, Thank you kids for making it to the sec schs... thank you kids?? why thank them!! not strange and nothing wrong there... I thank them for putting in their wee bit of effort to get their results... i thank them for making it to sec sch so that i will not have to relive the experience with them again... but under different circumstances, things do turn out much better... i think... so many thinks in one sentence... i think... again!!!
Congrats to all of you who got the marks u desire... relish the moment... cherish the memories... embrace the future... you have earned it!!!
and now some not so 'chiim' stuff... was busy counting the number of kids who managed 100 and above... and wow... so many 90 and above as well!!! good job... usually marks fall within 70 to mid 90... very different this year altogether...
now i can look forward to my holidays in bangkok... please do not look for me... i will be in hiding
and to the squad leaders... hey people, please choose a sch wch has redx for u to continue... would love to see you there... let me know wch schs u all get into... email or sms... tag me with an email add will do as well...
next post... erm... shall not commit a date since dear yiqian actually comes and check on my posting dates... hey i was just a little late in posting...

and life goes on~
And so life does go on doesn't it? When any journey ends, another starts. Before you can even blink your eye, you are already embarking on another exciting sequel to your life. Now that is what we call life, that is living...
Goodbye to those of you who came by to leave your parting words. Keep those 'wise' words, for those of you who asked for autographs (I seriously doubt you will keep the t-shirts for more than a month). Retain the memories and look at them once in a while, for those of you that came totting by with digital camera's (and I want the pictures too!).
And so we wait for 23rd November...
Suddenly, I find myself a father of 1 son and 6 daughters!!! I know where the son came from... but daughters??? and 6 of them??? I know I have always wanted a daughter... but this is a bit too overwhelming... and they call themselves a part of my family.. hahah... This is gonna be interesting... no wtad, didnt forget you or replace you or anything like that... Hope this 6 'daughters' would do well in their PSLE and get to further their dreams the way they want it...
I can finally take a breather, this after 2 to 3 weeks of mad rush... not that I am busy rushing about shopping... was busy doing work, work, work... now that the hols are here... and everything else has ended... i can finally take a little break... really need it...
I guess the christmas 'party' would have to be earlier in the day... 'cos the 6 lil daughters just won't leave early... whatever it is... you have to be out and on your way home by 7pm latest!!! Dedicated to those of you who are IT savvy~
First of all, dear people... the internet is not such a secure environment...
Read these few pointers before you go and claim that you know the internet... and risk being misled by others...
there is something called an IP address that is basically Internet Protocol address.. and this set of numbers identifies every internet connection on the cyberways... just like you have an IC number...
second, I have had it with people telling me "If you do not see my blog then how do you know what is in it?" Now ain't that a very naive remark?? It is not as if the particular blog is password protected and exclusive... any one who passes by can see and read whats on it.. AND ALWAYS TELL OTHERS WHAT THEY READ!!! Seriously what kind of ignorant person wouldn't know that??
third, anyone ever tried a google search for their names?? do that and you will see the list of websites that contain your names... and so you will know who said what again... DUH!!!
Oh and has anyone forgot what are links used for???

And so the days pass~
this is really a very trying and tiring period... well, so we have come done with the exams... so we have nothing more urgent to sort out... each day is a prayer, a hope, a wish that all would be fine... that no 'crappy' situations would come about...
surely we can't always blame life for being the way it is? surely there must be some person that causes it to be such and such a way? surely there must be an answer to all the "surely's"...
man, i make it sound so bleak...
hmm, comp lab wasnt too bad a place, yah? guess they had some bit of entertainment... and of course the 3 lil musketeers had pretty much a rewarding time bunking in with my lot... not in the sense of the word though... lets see, i spent an hour or so to include the new taggie and updated some links...
seriously everyday we will find people around us who are worthy of our concern and time, of course there will be some who will never be worth the time, and we will still try and hope to the last... but then, these folks can really be unappreciative to the last... and when the time comes to make a choice... to determine the direction... to place your last ounce of energy... you can be sure that if you had remained unappreciative to the last... you would probably be in dire need of aid which would definitely pass you by... (addressed to whom it may concern)
now to some happier stuff...
dylan woke me up on such a beautiful morning with his cries and kicks... 'ouch' that hurts... and so in he went to the kangaroo pouch and off we went to novena square... albeit for a few minutes... he sure liked the short mrt ride... guess it is the fact that he doesnt need to walk coupled with the incessant rocking of the pouch as i walk... wonder he doesnt vomit from all the rocking... yippee it is 4 months... when is he gonna call daddy...
